Wind Mitigation Reports

Uniform Wind Mitigation Surveys or OIR Form 1802

In 2007 the Florida Legislature approved an amendment to§627.0629 (1) which stated “A rate filing for residential property insurance must include actuarially reasonable discounts, credits,or other rate differentials,or appropriate reductions in deductibles, for properties on which fixtures or construction techniques demonstrated to reduce the amount of loss in a windstorm have been installed or implemented.”

4D Building Solutions can perform a wind mitigation inspection so that you can save money on your homeowners insurance. It’s quite simple and in less than an hour you could be saving up to 86% on the wind portion of your homeowners insurance. This can also be known as hurricane, storm or windstorm portion of your insurance. Depending on where you are located and who your insurance provider is,the windstorm portion of your insurance can be nearly 70% of your total homeowners insurance policy.

A Wind Mitigation inspection can be performed as a part of a standard home inspection for a significant cost savings.  If a home  inspection is not needed,we will be happy to come out and gather the information to prepare the OIR-1802 or Wind Mitigation Survey.

Depending on how your home was constructed and it’s location, the potential savings on  your insurance can be significant, and this savings is every year, not just one time!  Click on the link below to see what types of savings are available.

Testimonials

“I have used Tom many times over the years for home inspections. He is an expert in his field, gets along well with everyone and truly enjoys his job...I would recommend Tom for all your inspection needs.” Melody Hunter,Realtor

“Over the years,it has been our pleasure to recommend Tom to our customers when they purchase new homes. Tom's drive to stay updated and current in the home inspection field continues to yield many benefits for both our customers and for us. He is extremely tech savvy as well as knowledgeable about state construction laws, updated codes and is continually expanding his knowledge base. Tom is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors which requires ongoing training and certification. Tom's personable style of interpreting his inspection findings is such that our customers are helped to understand the issues without being unduly alarmed when there is a problem. It has always been easy to recommend Tom and his services - he's "our guy" when it comes to learning the "inside scoop" on a home's condition.” Dick and Karla Nielsen,Keller Williams

“I have known Tom for several years and he has inspected probably a dozen homes for me in that time. He is the best home inspector I have ever worked with, and I wouldn't think of closing on a property without consulting with him first. I would estimate that Tom has saved me tens of thousands of dollars by helping me avoid real estate deals with "gotcha" maintenance surprises, and helping me negotiate better deals on those I did purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tom to a friend and do so regularly with confidence.” Darren W.
